OVER 20 YEARS oF MEAT EXPERTISE

Moody's Butcher Shop has deep roots in Indiana, starting in 1997 when Adam and Lucy Moody entered the local food movement by directly marketing their beef, pork, chicken, and eggs at farmer's markets. In 2000, they established Moody Meats with the acquisition of a state-inspected slaughtering facility. The first Moody's Butcher Shop opened in Avon in 2003, followed by locations in Zionsville and Geist over the years.

In 2020, new ownership led by Moody's Foodie, Erik Risman, brought fresh energy. With over a decade-long relationship between Adam and Erik, the transition was seamless. The new partners, all local enthusiasts of quality meats, share a unified vision and have invested in enhancing existing stores and opening the new Nora location. Moody's is now expanding beyond premium beef, pork, and poultry to include convenient products like Ready-to-Cook, Ready-to-Heat, and Ready-to-Eat options.

Our Signature beef and pork, sourced through a local partnership with Fischer Farms, are premium products raised sustainably without growth hormones or antibiotics. We proudly offer beef that’s “Better than Prime” and pork that “Melts in your mouth.” Each piece of Moody’s Signature beef and pork is hand-cut to your order. Customers can pre-order their preferred cuts or choose from our selection of traditional cuts available in-store. Moody’s Signature products truly stand out as a “cut above.”

Beyond our quality meats, Moody’s offers a wide range of products to enhance your culinary experience, including pastas, sauces, oils, vinegars, cheeses, charcuterie, mustards, rubs, and an extensive selection of barbecue sauces. These products are designed to make entertainment easy and your meals exceptionally flavorful.

As expert sausage-makers, we handcraft a diverse array of sausages and brats from the same high-quality steaks, chops, and fresh poultry available in our butcher case. Don’t miss our house-made beef jerky, which is simply out of this world.
