Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

How can you go wrong with anything wrapped in bacon? This is a great holiday or entertaining recipe and it's easy. It’s also a great companion to bacon-wrapped shrimp.

🍷 Wine Pairing: You can't go wrong pairing this with Bubbles or a nice Bordeaux Blanc.

Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

  • 12 Moody’s Diver scallops (about 1 pound)

  • 12 slices Moody’s platter bacon

  • 1 T Moody’s JustRite seasoning

  • 3 T butter (melted)

  1. Collect all the ingredients.

  2. Cook the bacon gently until partially cooked but not crisp and still flexible.

  3. Soak scallops in cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Cut each scallop in half.

  4. Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap around each scallop half and secure with a toothpick.

  5. Dip each wrapped scallop in butter, both sides and generously season with the JustRite.

  6. Place scallops on a rack in a broiling pan and broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until scallops turn opaque throughout and the bacon is crisp. Use tongs to turn and baste with drippings.
