Grilled Swordfish

Grilled Swordfish

Grilled Swordfish, when it is good, is a real treat.  This recipe came from an old college friend who prepared it for us over 30 years ago.  It’s an easy recipe for a delightful meal.  Be sure to pair this with the Cucumber Dill Sauce; you will not be disappointed.Enjoy!🍷 Wine pairing: A light Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc (a Bordeaux Blanc would be great) goes well with this dish.

Grilled Swordfish

  • 4 medium swordfish steaks

  • 4 T best mayonnaise

  • Juice from ½ lemon and ½ lime

  • ½ t salt

  • 1 T fresh ground black pepper

  1. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together (if the mixture is too thick add more lemon and lime).

  2. Apply mixture to the swordfish steaks and let sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before grilling.

  3. Place the swordfish steaks on a medium high grill. Turn only one time and apply reserved sauce to second side. (Cook time: rule of thumb for fish: 10 minutes per inch of thickness.)

  4. Remove from grill and serve*.
