"Poor Man's Lobster" (Monkfish in Butter)
Monkfish is a well-kept secret - it's delicious and a fraction of the price of lobster. Monkfish has a meaty flesh similar to lobster; you’ll love this rich, buttery fish recipe. A French Bordeaux Blanc pairs nicely with this delicate fish. A less oaky Chardonnay is also a nice choice.
🍷 Wine Pairing: French Bordeaux Blanc
"Poor Man's Lobster" (Monkfish in Butter)
1 ½ lbs. Monkfish fillets
1 ½ stick butter (melted)
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
Paprika
Parsley (chopped)
Lemon wedges
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Dredge the monkfish fillets through the melted butter and place in a shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and paprika as desired.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes, basting occasionally with the butter from the pan.
The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle the chopped parsley and serve with the lemon wedges and remaining melted butter for dipping.
