Pork Chops in Maple Syrup  (Quick and Easy) 

Pork Chops in Maple Syrup

  • 4 Moody’s pork chops (bone-in or boneless, your preference)

  • 2 eating apples

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 2 T butter

  • 1 T canola oil

  • 2 T maple syrup

  • 2 T crème fraîche (or sour cream)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Peel and core the apples, cut into small wedges. Place in a bowl and sprinkle them with the lemon juice.

  3. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet, season the pork chops with salt and pepper then sear them on each side over high heat for 2 minutes. Remove chops from the skillet and place them in a baking dish. Arrange the apple slices on top of each chop and season again with salt and pepper.

  4. Mix the maple syrup and the crème fraîche together and pour over the chops and apples and bake for 20 minutes, serve very hot.
