Baked Beans

These baked beans are a perfect side dish for Baby Back Ribs or your favorite summer or winter family gathering.ENJOY!

Baked Beans

  • 1 Can Great Northern beans*

  • 1 Can Butter beans

  • 1 Can Kidney beans

  • 1 Can Baked beans**

  • ½ pound bacon (cut in ½ inch pieces (I use Moody’s Jowl Bacon))

  • 1 Onion

  • 1 C brown sugar

  • ½ C water

  • ¼ C molasses

  1. Drain all the beans except for the Baked Beans

  2. Brown the bacon and onion together

  3. In a saucepan, bring brown sugar and water to a boil until the sugar is dissolved

  4. Stir in the molasses

  5. Combine all ingredients together in an oven proof casserole or bean pot

  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 ½ hours.

*Beans can be substituted for whatever you like.  Sometimes I will add an extra can of beans, usually Garbanzos.

**Usually comes in a larger can than regular beans – use them all – it’s fine.
