Cole Slaw

This Cole Slaw recipe is a perfect side dish for Baby Back Ribs or your favorite burger.  This recipe contains no mayonnaise.

Cole Slaw

For the slaw:*

  • ½ head of cabbage (shredded)

  • ½ onion finely sliced (I use a mandolin)

  • ¼ C grated carrot

  • Chopped parsley

For the dressing:

  • ½ C sugar

  • ¾ C rice wine vinegar

  • 1 t kosher salt

  • Freshly ground pepper

  • 1 C canola oil

For the dressing:

  1. Put the first 4 ingredients in a jar and shade well to blend. Add the oil and shake more.

*This slaw is very versatile, you can mix and match a variety of ingredients to add flavor and color:
• Colored peppers
• Celery seeds
• Sesame seeds
• Cilantro
• Green onions
